While surfing for pictures of Hillegass race cars I came across this forum containing an article by Doug Schiller about Hillegass 1/4 midgets. Hiram was my great uncle and I have a photo of me (at about 12 or 13 years old, over 50 years ago) driving one of his complete bodied midgets outside of his shop in Center Valley, Pa. My father had Hiram make one for me but couldn't afford the body at the time so I had a driveable chassis and motor with no body. If anyone is interested in photos of some of Hirams cars or other stuff I would be more than happy to oblige. I also have a balsa wood model that Hiram made in 1932 of one of his cars that I offered to the Lattimore Valley museum , but I received no response from them.
