Ivan Dutton & Jon Champ Visit The Caruso Racing Museum

We want to thank Ivan Dutton and Jon Champ for stopping by the Caruso Racing Museum Monday August 23-2010. Ivan is from the U.K. and is a world renowned Bugatti specialist and engineer. Ivan and Jon were here in the states for four weeks to race their Bugatti's at Lime Rock, Road America, Monterey and in the American Bugatti Club's California Rally. Best of luck to you both in your upcoming events!

Ivan brought pictures of the 4 cylinder Bugatti engine that my grandfather Mike cut in half from an eight cylinder in the 1930's. Ivan located the engine and wants to build a replica using the original engine of the Caruso Bugatti that Ernie Gessell won the championship in 1937. Pretty unbelievable!

Here are pictures that Ivan Dutton from the UK brought during his visit to the Caruso Racing Museum this past summer. It is the original 4 cylinder Bugatti engine that my grandfather Mike cut in half from an eight cylinder back in the 1930's. Ivan located the engine and wants to build a replica using the original engine of the Caruso Bugatti Midget that Ernie Gessell won the championship in 1937. Can't wait to see the restoration. Brian
